The Banja Luka College of Communications is a private, liberal arts and social sciences institution of higher learning. The College was founded in the year 2000 as the first independent institution of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina that had been granted the same legal status as state colleges. Since its foundation, the College has been working in accordance with the Bologna Declaration, offering unique modular programs based on one semester courses expressible in ECTS credits.

The Banja Luka College of Communications is also the only institution of higher learning in Bosnia and Herzegovina that is - among the few such schools in southeastern Europe - fully devoted to systematic study and education in the area of communications. The first class of communications majors graduated in 2004, and in 2005 the College marked its fifth anniversary.
