900 Hours of Intense Audio Engineering and Music Production Training

At The Los Angeles Recording School, we believe there's no substitute for experience. That's why our audio engineering training has always been based around a hands-on approach where you gain confidence by experimenting in professional audio production environments before starting your career in the recording and music production industry.

Our faculty of professional recording engineers is here to provide guidance and an experienced ear as you learn the ropes, and class sizes are limited to eight students per hands-on workshop section, in order to maximize your time with the gear.

Music Production Digital Recording Audio Postproduction for Film and Television

We offer two schedules:

Full-Time: attend school an average of 30 hours each week for 36 weeks. Part-Time: attend school an average 20 hours each week for 48 weeks.

CURRICULUM
The Los Angeles Recording School's 900-Hour Program is designed to train the student in all aspects of recording session procedures and technologies, and to prepare the student for entry level positions in the recording industry that are intended to result in a career as a recording engineer. This includes the initial preparation stages of equipment setup and preproduction, all the way through the multi-track recording process, to mixing and mastering the finished product in stereo or even 5.1 surround sound.

The program includes training in both classroom and hands-on lab environments covering the widest range of audio disciplines including music production and sound-for-picture audio post production.

Our students train on industry-standard equipment in over 15 labs / studios including state-of-the-art Digidesign ProTools HD systems and Solid State Logic SuperAnalogue large format mixing consoles.
