  7. The Medical Administrative Assistant program is designed to develop the skills necessary for success in the office of a medical practice, or as administrative support in hospital departments and for Medical Directors and for executives in non-medical business opportunities.

    The duties of a Medical Administrative Assistant include telephone calls, appointment setting, records management, basic billing, management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, interacting with insurance companies, assisting in payment collections and general bookkeeping.

    MedVance Institute's curriculum include training in "front office" skills, which include computer skills, transcription, business math, basic medical coding, and records management.

    The administrative, business and communication courses provide graduates with well-rounded talents to meet the needs and challenges of today's ever-changing medical and non-medical industry.
