We offer Southwest Florida's ONLY associate degree program in Medical Assisting accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, thus allowing our graduates to take the national certification exam.

Medical Assistants are the most versatile of health care professionals. Trained and certified to assist in medical offices, medical assistants make a contribution to the medical office unlike any other professional. Medical Assistants who obtain their Certification in Medical Assisting (CMA) function in clinical and administrative roles.The clinical side of the profession provides extensive assistance to the physician by doing EKG's, pulmonary function tests, lab tests, injections and assisting in minor office surgery. Many go on to become office managers or billing managers if their interests are in the management side of a physician's office.
