Presentation

Designed to provide an undergraduate biblical foundation for students preparing to continue their education at the graduate level to obtain ministry skills, and for students desiring to continue in graduate studies in biblical literature.

Composed primarily for the Minister of Education, Minister of Youth and Children and other church staff persons. Studies are designed to equip the student to function in churches and denominational leadership positions or to succeed in graduate programs of study.

The mission of the Christian Counseling major is to affect a Christian worldview undergraduate education that prepares the student to be a gospel witness to the world and his/her profession, to be able to pursue a graduate degree in mental-health science, to be able to enter the mental-health science field at an entry level, to be motivated to be a Christian healer, and to be a discipler of mental-health concerns in churches.

This degree is an external degree program, which accepts either associate of arts degrees or associate degrees in divinity, ministry or Christian education from regionally accredited institutions as a basis for admission. The degree is designed to meet the needs of adult learners who wish to acquire upper level theological education through various distance learning systems. An Associate of Science degree is not a qualifying degree for entry into this program, nor is this program available to students enrolled for traditional in-residence degree programs on the college campus in Graceville.
