The Department of Biology offers programs whose purpose is to prepare the student to work in areas of research, teaching, and fields related to health and industry.
OBJECTIVES
To obtain our goals the Department of Biology proposes to stimulate students' interest in the biological sciences in accordance with the mission and objectives of the University.
provide basic knowledge for professional work in the field of biology.
· provide a solid education in biology for students interested in pursuing graduate studies in related fields.
· awaken interest in the study of life and its conservation, with emphasis in tropical biology systems as encountered on our Island.
