Youth are confronted with an onslaught of new challenges and issues due to the moral relativism of our culture.  Every day they face multiple challenges to Christian beliefs and faith that they must be prepared to handle.  Trinity College works to train youth pastors and youth leaders who will guide and minister to the younger generation in an understanding and competent manner.

The Church Ministries major provides the student with the academic preparation necessary for ministry along with professional preparation in a particular area of ministry emphasis. Within the Church Ministries major students select an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry, Youth Ministry, or Worship Ministry.

The Youth Ministry Emphasis provides training for men and women specializing in careers relating to church and/or parachurch ministries with adolescents. Students successfully completing this program will demonstrate:

• 1. Ability to articulate a biblical philosophy of youth ministry,
• 2. Ability to strategize a long-term ministry to adolescents, and
• 3. Ability to communicate effectively to adolescents through teaching, leading Bible studies, and camp- centered discipleship training.
