Cosmetology Program (1,500 Hours)

The basic Cosmetology Program will prepare you for the state board licensing exam.
We offer training in hairdressing skills and their practical applications,
so you’ll be ready for entry-level employment in a beauty salon.
The training encompasses all phases of cosmetology, including haircutting,
styling, permanent waving, hair relaxing, hair coloring, color weaving,
hair extensions, hair and scalp treatments, manicures, artificial nails,
facials and makeup.

Opportunities for supervised practical work with the public are provided.
Your program hours will be divided as follows:

General Classes (300 Hours):
Sterilization, sanitation, bacteriology,
anatomy, physiology, shop ethics, personality and salesmanship and state laws

Chemical Classes (600 Hours):
Permanent waving, hair relaxers, hair coloring,
bleaching and toning, artificial nails and hair structure and chemistry.

Physical Classes (600 Hours):
Shampooing, rinses, hair care, scalp care,
hair cutting, nail care, skin care, hair color and hair extensions.
