The Medical Assistant Diploma program offered by SBC - Collinsville is designed to give students the training and skills they need to perform various technical and administrative skills to function as a key member of any health care team. The coursework at our school is designed to provide essential medical assistant training including patient preparation, medication administration, emergency medical procedures, and office procedures to ensure your successful transition into the fast-paced field of medicine.

The curriculum includes:

Blood work and lab work
CPR and First aid administration
Medical records management
Emergency medical procedures
Billing/coding
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the American Medical Technologists Registered Medical Assistant Exam (RMA). This nationally recognized certification entitles AMT-registered medical assistants to affiliate with that organization. Graduates are also eligible to for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
