Structure and analysis of healthcare data
Medical Coding and indexing of information
Management of retention and reimbursement systems for health insurance claims
File analysis and management, healthcare statistics and health record evaluation
Verbal and written communication with other healthcare professionals
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the American Medical Technologists Registered Medical Assistant Exam (RMA). This nationally recognized certification entitles AMT-registered medical assistants to affiliate with that organization. Graduates are also eligible to for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
