At Southwest Florida College, our medical programs will give you the tools to remain in a high-paying career for many years to come.Most programs can be completed in two years of study or less at both our Ft. Myers and Tampa campus locations.
Southwest Florida College's Medical Transcription program was created to help students become proficient in medical terminology, and it focuses on the development of accurate and efficient medical transcription skills. When you successfully complete our program, you can pursue entry-level transcription positions in physicians' offices, private medical transcription firms, hospitals and insurance companies.
Southwest Florida College features an Associate of Science degree in Medical Transcription that can be completed within two years of study. This degree will focus on fundamental medical courses, such as anatomy and physiology, as well as four specialized courses in medical transcription.
