Course Description:During the first year medical students learn about all the most common pathogens involved in infectious diseases illness and their characteristics. Includes basic concepts of Immunology, Virology, Mycology, Bacteriology and Parasitology.
Prerequisites: Admission to MD or PhD programs

MIC 643 Infectious Diseases
Course Description: In the second year they learn the clinical manifestations, laboratory diagnosis, and therapeutic alternatives for treating infectious diseases. It is our purpose to teach the basic knowledge of infectious diseases which is a very important part of the education of medical students and future physicians.
