  7. The Spanish minor consists of 18 semester hours in specific areas. Courses selected by the students range from Fundamentals of Spanish Grammar, and Spanish and Latin American Cultural Histories, to an elective course in literature. This selection of courses is intended to provide the students not only with language skills and a knowledge of culture, but also with an awareness of literary trends and theories.
        Required Courses: SPAN 141 Fundamentals of Spanish Grammar  (3 s.h.) SPAN 142 Spanish Comp. & Stylistics  (3 s.h.) SPAN 152 Masterpieces of Spanish Lit. II  (3 s.h.) SPAN 162 Masterpieces of Span. Am. Lit. II  (3 s.h.) Electives: Select 6 semester hours from among current listings in language, literature and culture   (3 s.h.)
