NEWS AND SPORTS BROADCASTING

News media is the most powerful tool in the nation.  It elects presidents, changes buying habits; it puts the world in your living room.  In radio and television journalism, Nescom students conduct interviews, gather video, record sound, write the news, edit stories and broadcast news that can appear in thousands of homes.

In sports broadcasting, Nescom students learn the basics of play-by-play and color techniques, researching stats, interviewing players and managers, and broadcasting live games in this exciting program.  Using Husson College's inter-collegiate athletics as a training  tool, students broadcast both live and tape delay from the campus athletic complex.
